General FAQ
  1. What is a parody?
Parodies are comedic imitations of another individual or group's work. Works that are generally parodied include literature, music, movies, and artwork. Many authors, entertainers and advertisers use parodies to communicate a view point to the public.
  2. Are parodies legal?
Yes, parodies are legal and protected under the "Fair Use Doctrine". But parodies have to be created in a certain way. We have created a set of standards in the rules/guidelines section that should be followed to make your parody legal, though it does not guarantee your work will not violate copyright laws.
